CARW (Cache and Release Winter) stands as Northern Alberta’s premier geocaching celebration and ranks among Canada’s longest-running geocaching events. Entering its 20th year, CARW2026 continues our tradition of emphasizing quality caching experiences for enthusiasts of all levels.
CARW is always a themed event, and part of the fun each year is seeing the incredible creativity that geocachers bring to their hides to stay on theme. Cache finders often get in on the action too, crafting clever, theme-inspired logs that make each discovery even more memorable. CARW2026 will be no exception, so get ready to join the fun with your own creative twist. This year’s theme is Music, so bang those drums!
